Introduction
- Tired of having to spending hours sifting through all the information (and misinformation) about cancer online? Struggling to make sense of and take action on it? Don't worry. In this tutorial, I compiled insightful, actionable information and resources on cancer prevention & management so you don't have to spend days searching for them.
- This site has something in it for everyone: in the US, about 1 in 3 people will eventually get cancer, and it will directly/indirectly affect almost everyone in some way (American Cancer Society). Furthermore, many of the actions that prevent cancer also reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and other conditions.
A bit about me:
I'm Sai Chengalvala, a recent graduate from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) and Computer Science. I was in a 1cademy internship, where I'm spreading awareness about cancer and other chronic diseases. I did research on cancer with my mentor Dr. Chen; the literature review we worked on is published and cited by 26 different papers so far: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.apsb.2021.04.012.
